Fluffy Buns Diapers Product Review and Giveaway {Sponsor Spotlight} Fluffy Butts Giveaway Hop

About Fluffy Buns Diapers:
What is your name and anyone else part of the business?
Alicia
How did you get started with your business?
I am just starting up again. I have always loved to sew and create and started making things for local friends and it is taking off from their.
Who or what was your inspiration?
My mom is my inspiration, she is a very creative woman and has created many things that were considered "impossible".
How long have you been doing what you do?
I have been creating since I was in high school and would sew diapers and accessories for my daughter.
What is your motivation? What are you passionate about?
My daughter is my motivation. I want to show her how to live with an eco friendly mind and encourage her to make healthy green choices.
Where can we find you when you are not working? How do you spend a day off?
When I have a day off, I love spending the time with my family, at the park, beach or just the back yard.

Alicia sent me a wonderful package of products to try out. Pictured below are two fleece shorties, a wipe pouch (with three wipes), and a wet bag.
Fleece shorties:
These are used as a diaper cover, so a fitted is required underneath. They are made of polyester fleece. They are custom sized. There is a tie string around the waist. There is an extra layer of fleece sewn into it, in a hammock design, which is in the wet zone.

Vallon- 5 months
My experience with them:
These are the first fleece covers I have tried. I have been using these with tinkle trap fitted diapers underneath. They are very similar to wool and I like them more than I expected. Just like with wool shorties and longies it is awkward to put a onesie on. I either put a regular tee on a nothing at all. They are very breathable and have been working out well with this warm weather.
What do I ♥ about it?
The design is really nice and the patterns are cute. They are really soft too! I love the extra layer of fleece. They are really easy to get on and take off and are stretchy. The best part is that you can just throw them in with the rest of the diapers, unlike wool which needs to be hand washed.
What would I change?
I like the ties but I would prefer elastic for a baby Vallon's age (5 months). He likes to grab them and put them into his mouth. Also, I would order them in a larger size so I can fit a bigger diaper underneath. These can have compression leaks much like wool. So if he is sitting in his bouncy chair for too long they leak through. As long as there is enough absorbency, then I don't have that problem.

Wipes and wipe pouch:
These are boogie wipes. They are made of flannel. The pouch is made of cotton and lined with PUL (polyurethane laminate). The pouch has two pockets; one for the clean wipes and one (lined with PUL) for the used wipes. It snaps shut.

See the large pocket lined with PUL for dirty wipes.
Soft flannel wipes
My experience with them:
I keep them in the diaper bag and my three year old actually asked to use one when he needed to blow his nose. He loves reusing as much as me. :) He can even open and close the bag himself since it is held with one snap.
What do I ♥ about them?
We love how soft the wipes are. This pouch is very convenient to have and just like a wet bag, the whole thing can be thrown in the wash. These can be used for more than just boogies and they really come in handy. The pouch is easy to find in the diaper bag yet it folds up small in case you want to stick it in your pocket or small purse.
What would I change?
I love the whole design and the little wipes are perfect for little noses but some larger wipes would be nice too since there are so many uses.

Wet bag:

Self standing
This bag has one layer of cotton and one of PUL. It has a really special design though. It is made to be self standing! It closes with three snaps and has a handle that snaps on and off. It measures 16" x 8". It is well constructed and feels very durable.
My experience with it:
We actually took it with us when we went hiking. We set up camp and made dinner over a fire. Instead of bringing a bunch of paper and disposable products, I brought plastic plates, metal silverware and wash cloths. At the end of the day we had a tiny bag of garbage. I was able to fit our dirty wash cloths and dishes in the bag. I also use it for diapers when we go out. It folds up nicely.
Strap snaps on and off!
What do I ♥ about it?
The self standing design is pretty handy. It is great when you are trying to remove a diaper insert and don't have an extra hand to hold open the bag. This bag is great for more than just diapers. I have kept it hanging in the kitchen and fits perfectly in the corner where I can throw unpaper towels in it. The chickens go great with the kitchen too. :) I also put it in the diaper bag for on the go.
What would I change?
Having the option for a zipper would be nice. It would make it easier for traveling.

What do I think overall?
I am very happy with all these products. They are all serged together very nicely. They are unique and made with lots of love! I highly recommend Fluffy Buns Diapers shop on Etsy. It was great working with Alicia. She has a great selection of products and will be adding more fluffy goodies soon. She has been very helpful and answered all my questions. Check out this video on how to use the self standing feature on the wet bag.
