Greenwashing...even I have a lot to learn

I discovered this through Dr. Mercola's website. I get his emails and skim through them from time to time. He provided a great link about mislabeling of products. I felt this was important to share. Most of these things I didn't even know about. What baffled me the most is that Kashi is owned by Kellogg and their products have been found to contain genetically modified organisms (GMO's), despite their claims to be "All Natural." They are not labeled or certified organic so they very well could contain GMO's. They are put in the natural/organic sections of stores and marked up to make you think they are better. No more will I buy something so expensive without organic certification. USDA certified organic foods cannot contain genetically modified ingredients. Through third party testing, there are other brand that have been found to contain genetically modified (GM) corn and soybeans and some are enrolled in the Non-GMO project! Check out this site to see how companies are "Greenwashing" their products.

UPDATE: I just came across this article from Organic Consumers Association. Boycott Kellogg!
